
Braised Fish Fillet with Tofu
Ingredients
- Garoupa fillet 300g
- Ginger slices 5g
- Leek (cut sections) 2 stalks
- Corn flour 2 tbsp
- Tofu (cut pieces) 1 box
- Red Chili 1 unit
Sauce Ingredients
- MCM’s Sambal Sauce 2 tbsp
- MCM’s Gan Xiang Sauce 1 tbsp
- Water 1 cup
- Chicken powder 1 tsp
- Sugar ½ tsp
Seasonings
- MCM’s Superior Light Soy Sauce 2 tbsp
- Pepper A dash
Methods
- Cut fish fillet into cubes and marinates with condiments for 10 minutes; coat with corn flour and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown and drain when done.
- Mix all sauce ingredients and set aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp of oil in a wok then sauté ginger, garlic and red chili until fragrant.
- Add in fried fish, tofu and all sauce ingredients, simmer briefly and thicken with some starch.
